1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to EasyDoc: PDF Reader Tools, published on Google Play under the package name com.antonio.tsvetanov.marinov.easy.doc.

EasyDoc helps you read, convert, protect, and manage PDF and Office documents on your Android device. If you have any questions about this policy, please email [email protected].

2. Our privacy commitment

We request permissions only to provide the features you use. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not require an account, we do not sell your personal information, and we design EasyDoc so that document work stays on your device whenever possible.

• Permissions exist to support App functions such as opening files, converting documents, scanning, printing, and sharing.
• You choose which files to open or import. You may decline optional access and still pick files through the system selector.
• Most PDF tools run locally on your device. We do not upload your files for merge, split, encrypt, unlock, sign, or similar offline tools.
• You may revoke permissions in Android Settings or uninstall the App at any time.

3. Permissions

We do not request a separate Photos or Gallery permission

EasyDoc does not request a dedicated album, gallery, or “Photos and videos” permission. If you did not see a gallery-permission prompt while using the App, that is expected.

When you use Image to PDF, the App opens the system picker. You manually select the images you want to convert. The App only receives access to the files you choose — not your entire photo library.

All files access is not the same as album access

On some Android versions, EasyDoc may optionally ask for All files access so it can find PDF and Office files in folders such as Download and Documents, and help you locate tool outputs on your device.

This is not a gallery permission. It is optional, and it is used for document discovery — not for browsing your personal photo album in the background. If you do not grant it, you can still import files through the system document picker or authorize a specific folder.

Other permissions

• Camera — only when you use Scan to PDF or other camera features you choose to start.
• Storage (older Android versions) — may be used on older systems to read and save documents where required by the operating system.
• Internet — used for online features such as AI Translate and advertisements.

4. Information we collect

• Files you select — processed on your device unless an online feature clearly states otherwise.
• App settings — such as language preference, stored on your device.
• Advertising data — if ads are shown, partners such as Google AdMob may collect limited device and ad interaction data according to their policies and your consent choices.
• Support email — if you contact us, we receive the information you send.

5. AI features

AI Translate: PDF text is parsed on your device. Extracted text may be sent to a third-party translation service (MyMemory). Your PDF file itself is not uploaded.

AI Summary: Parsing and summary generation are performed on your device. Your PDF file and extracted text are not uploaded for summary.

6. Third-party services

We do not sell your personal information. We may use:

• Google Play — app distribution and updates
• Google AdMob — advertising where applicable
• MyMemory — AI Translate text processing

7. Children

EasyDoc is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
